H4 Wife - Things to do?

hi all,

i too was in that state then in our community they taught few cratfs like plastic canvas, beading, scrap booking, soap making so i improved myself on them by getting more materials and books. such a wonderful hobby u will love if u have patience.when they stopped the classes we friends started sharing the hobbies what we know as a result we made scraf, glass paintings....... u will get the materials in joann, michaels and hobby lobby.try them then u will tell no time for me to vaccum and laundry......

Hi all or fellow h4 holders,

I am in US from past 5months on H4 and I have found ways to survive here.I was working in software organisation from past 8yrs and have a 3,5yr kid who goes to preschool still then I feel bored and frustrated.I dnt have any Indians around and nobody whom I see outside.

But I tried the following

1.Being a techie I completed two technical certifications which I couldnt do a when I was working.Might be useful someday

2.Bought few plants and pots I water them and watch them daily twice ot thrice, its really good feeling.

3.Goto Bhajans in Sai baba temple every thrusday gives me good a feeling

4. I bought few cookbooks from half price books and started cooking in my amended way.

5.Tried GM diet and made a few changes in my diet and lost 2 sizes which I couldnt do after my delivery and goto aprt gym for 20mins in a day

6.Bring books from library and finish them like Iam dying in the next few hours.

this is just my routine but you can try different things.

a) Creative people can pursue any course in art or attend cake decoratig classes, for that we should know baking so try ready to bake products first.or else visit michaels or joanns and try do yourself kits.I learnt quilting , cross stitch with small patches.its exciting to see something hanging in the house

b) If you are movie buff you can watch abc movies it has good movies sometimes.
c) For women weight management is the biggest problem all the time from my experience so keep yourself healthy all the time.Eat good food , not much junk.Go green try organic food to future.Eat right food in right quantities.

d) for women who are newly married just chill and enjoy time with your partner.Dont be sad and show that on him because he is not adjusting to you.Make use of these golden moments to understand each other.Join a gym together and enjoy being together all the time.

Anyone wants to join survey sites which offer rewards in form of gift certificates... like mypoints etc. I can send invites. Iam also in H4 and am very new to US. Iam also thinking about an MS plan. Iam living in SchereVille, Indiana along with my husband who is a chemical engineer. I reached here only on June 4th and it has been almost 2months. I was working in India with an IT firm, am a B.Tech graduate. Have u started ur MS program? Will I be able to join in the next quarter? When I came I just thought abt applying to some NON profitable organisations like Universities, hospitals and all----Did u search that option? I just don want to waste time. So am planning abt enroling in an MS program. Can u just help me on this?
