    Hi I had Copper T IUD 3 yrs back and has it checked it only once but today i went to my Gync and she said that she is not able to see the treads and did ultra sound (and was able to see IUD but not the threads
    .so she asked to consult some othe doc who will remove IUD under Ansthesa (its kind of minor surgery??) can any body help me ?? i am working and have 4 yrs daughter so can i go to work the very next day?? i live in USA

    Hi, there are few procedures to see the iud. Dilating the cervix to see the iud or the giving anasthesia and use a scope to go in and find it to remove it. It is not a surgery but it can be painful.You need to rest atleast 2 days before heading to work because you may bleed and you may encounter some pain. Talk to your gynec about the procedure before you get in to it.Take care.
