Default Miscarriage Support Group

Hi all

I just recently went thru a miscarriage at 7 weeks. It was a very confusing time for me. When i started having bleeding i didnt know to what extent i would have cramps or how much i would bleed, and since it was sunday i couldnt call my doctor. I went to the ER and waited there for 5 hours, did the physical exam and the blood test and the ultrasound which showed no heartbeat, and came back home with the same doubts and an added back pain. I spoke with my doctor the next day and she immediately told me after looking at my hormone level in my blood report that i miscarried. I am now still having bleeding and just waiting for the sac to come out. need first hand advice from ppl who went thru the same. i miss being pregnant

Sorry to hear about your loss, but pls be assured that everything happens for the best. This is just nature's way of destroying something that is not proper in some way.I went through one miscarriage in 2006 and my doc told me that one in 3 pregnancies end this way,a miscarriage in the initial weeks.Mine was a blighted ovum,so no bleeding, cramps, nothing at all.Went for a regular ultrasound at 9 weeks and came to know that the foetus did not develop beyond 3 weeks,so only option left was to do a D & C.Now I have my second boy who is 7 mnths old,my first boy is almost 6 yrs old now.

Just relax, calm down, wait for atleast 5-6 mnths, then plan your pregnancy.

Hello Manisha,

Firstly I am sorry that you have go through all this !!!
I was in your shoes just 3 months back. I know how emotional wrecking process it is !! Did ur doctor gave you any tablet for miscarrying ?? In my case, my gyn gave a tablet and sac was out in 2 days.. I had heavy bleeding for less than a week and then I was normal. My doctor did a scan after 3 weeks to check if the uterus is clean and empty. After a month or so, my periods also started...

So just talk to parents and hubby and try to be on our own. My personal suggestion would be NOT to discuss abt this with everyone because I had quite a bad experience hearing comments from some friends. Hope in your case all your friends act well with you..Always please remember that there is a life after miscarriage as well !!

Regards,
Malar

Sunitha, thanx for the kind words and the support. Sorry abt ur first loss but am happy to know that you went on to have 2 healthy kids
Malar, am sorry for your loss too. No my doc didn’t give me a pill to get the sac out..the sac was out in 5 days. I have an appointment this Wednesday to see if everything is out. Hmm ya in my excitement I did tell everyone I was pregnant and now telling them abt this is the worst part abt the whole thing..will be careful abt who I tell next time. Best of luck for ur next try

Manisha,my miscarriage happened during my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was fine and my son is now almost 6 yrs old. This is just to let you know that it is not always the first one that could end in a loss.Sometimes, unexpectedly, the second or third could end that way.Don't be disheartened by it ,like Malar said and it is better not to talk about it to people who show concern only for the sake of showing concern. When mine ended in a loss, actually,I was not depressed at all since I did not want to have a second child at all then but some relatives, when enquiring about it,kept asking me whether I was ok,and when I said,I am ok,they said now maybe you will be ok,but in future, when you get pregnant, you will think about this loss then and be sad.I was left wondering whether they were consoling me or was it me who was trying to console myself

Hi Manisha, Very Sorry to hear about your loss.I completetly understand what you are going thru because I had my second miscarriage just yester'day. And the first one I had 3 months back. Both of my miscarriages happened in 6th /7th week. Its difficult and i really dunno the right words to console you. I guess there is no one simple reason or solution for this. But atleast on the brighter side we are able to conceive. The reason i am telling you this is because one year back I did everything right but i wasn't able to conceive.I went thru fertility treatment till IUI. And nothing helped. Finally I gave up.After that in few months i conceived naturally twice. But both didn't last. All these years i cried so much and lot of ppl around me took advantage of that and started hurting me.So now i learnt the lesson in hard way that nobody has rights to hurt me and I can find peace only within myself. So don't lose heart..there are many living proofs who has given birth to beautiful babies after so many miscarriages..I 'll keep you in my prayers..and Good Luck !!!!

I too had a miscarriage around 2 yrs back. The pregnancy was a surprise to me. It was 7 weeks when I miscarried. I couldnt keep anything down for those 7 weeks and I had severe dizziness with nausea.I am thankful that it didnt go to full blown pregnancy as I wasnt prepared for a child.
I feel everything happens for a reason. There is a kid for all of us maybe this wasnt the one.
Good Luck.

Hey guys
How r u all doing?

Sunitha, sorry abt the misunderstanding in ur miscarriage details..sorry nevertheless for ur loss. U r right..the next time I am going to keep it a secret for some time. I made peace with my miscarriage in a few days but the amount of consoling I had to do to other ppl as well as the explaining abt it is the most irritating thing. The amount of questions ive had to hear over the past few days has almost made me have high BP Now I totally understand y in india everyone gives their news after 3 months.

Prisha dear, I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and about the trying times that you have had. How r u doing? But I must say you are a very strong lady and I totally admire you. I cant believe that at times like this when u need someone to understand you there r ppl who turn out to be the opposite..i get so furious with ppl who try to hurt ppl in times of sorrow. I will definitely add u to my prayers too. Hang on and take care. And do keep in touch.

Hey chocolate, “I feel everything happens for a reason. There is a kid for all of us maybe this wasnt the one.” Amen. And thanx

Thanks Manisha for your wonderful words. So how are you feeling now.Did doc tell you when you can start trying again?

Malar,How are you taking it ...I agree with you that by telling it out we get hurt more..but on the brighter side i came to know who i can trust and open up...

Tomorrow I have an appt with the doc to discuss further and find out the reasons.I know its very complicated field but i guess every problem will have a solution.Hoping for that.

Anyway I am glad that I can share with you guys!!!
