Fiona

I had the same problem. I had Irregular periods all my life and I concieved at 26 yrs and had a healthy pregnancy. My kid is 16 months old now.

But we had to try for about 6 months though because of my irregular periods. Finally I got very stressed and saw a gynecologist who sent me for an ultrasound and put me on 'Metformin'. It is a medicine that will correct your irregular periods and help you concieve. Metformin actually balances your sugar levels if that is your problem. My sugar levels were normal but I still had a mild case of PCOS and Metformin really helped me. In the begining Metformin can cause indigestion but slowly your body will get used to it. Just talk to your doctor and see if Metformin is right for you. If your problem is anything related to PCOS then I think Metformin can help you.

All the best
Manju
