Gujarat - Modhera Dance Festival

Modhera Dance Festival is one of the major festivals of the state of Gujarat. It is principally a dance festival and exhibits the varied traditional dance forms of Gujarat. It is a major attraction for those who have love for art and culture. Unique dance and music performances of the traditional Gujarati art forms can be seen here. This is an annual festival held in the month of January.

The Sun Temple of Modhera, located in the Mehsana district of Gujarat, serves as the site for this extravagant festival. This three-day festival is organized by, the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat.

Professional artists and emerging talents perform during this festival. The festival not only highlights the Indian classical dance forms but also portrays the various folk dance forms.

Several leading dance exponents from the whole of India grace this festival by their presence.

This festival is also known as the Uttered Mahotsav.
