Smile Lothal In Gujarat- The Archaeology Saga

Has anyone of you been to Lothal in Gujarat?

This is the town of the ancient Harrapan culture or the Indus Valley Civilisation. At Lothal, the Harrapan Civilisation demonstrates its amazing ability at town planning. They say there were three massive floods that were unable to destroy Lothal.

There was a tremendous flow of trade and commerce in Lothal from all parts of the world. The bead industry flourished and beads of gold were made at this time. Ornaments, weapons, figurines and birds of bronze were also made. The potters made beautiful pottery jars and toys. Donot forget to visit the Lothal Museum if you can when you visit this archaeological site and rediscover the romance of this ancient town.
