| dear olga, here i have given u a pattern for petticoat, take 2 1/4 metre would do for a very fat person, otherwise 2 mts of cloth will do, now fold into double and it should be 4 flap fold when u see it folded, now keeping the length wise one side take the measurement of ur hip and divide by 8 what ever is he total take that many inches on the hip side and the other side the length ur height what u want and press u will get the fold mark, now cut across diagonally and start with stitching together small pieces which will be four in nos that is two small ones makin one big like that now u have 2 pieces, now join one joined one with another large piece of centre one then again the side piece and last with another large one, now u have a petticoat to ur hip size, now take a small length of say 4" breadth of cloth as a strip to that of ur size of hip and stitch the corners first then keeping the petticoat bottom attach along with the top, then fold the bottom to say how many inches u need like 40" or 36" in length cut off the rest for the top hip.. now fold 1" and stitch now join the end of the folds, and a small slit u need to make by folding the bottom piece before u attach to the top, hope been of help, have any doubts pl get back to me.. regards sunkan Last edited by sunkan; 6th November 2007 at 05:00 AM. |

Thank you very much!!!! It.s terribly kind of you to send me the sewing pattern with such an exact description. I dont have much experience in sewing, so for sure it will be very helpful.
