I am not sure whether i have posted this in the correct forum.

What is your aasai (desire)?? Let me tell my aasai. I have got 2 daughters. My aasai is "All 3 of us have to wear same dress (definitely not saree) in same colour"

I do not know when my aasai will be fulfilled.

Why don't you share yours??

During teens my mom mandated my dress code as cotton full sleeved Kameez, white cotton Salwar and white cotton Dupatta at home and out side. When my daughters knew about my teen dress code and when I wore like that they wanted to wear the same dress. When we all three wore that dress (not necessarily full sleeve kameez) at home and go out side it’s very interesting then. My daughters told mom you look like our elder sister. I tried to recapitulate my teen memories while I wear that dress. My mother in law wears salwar kameez most of the time only few occasions she wears sari. When she came to our house and saw we all three wear that outfit she told us that she used to wear this pattern of dress in their teens. She got impressed and wanted to wear like that. When we all four wear same designed light print cotton kameez, white salwar and white dupatta at home and out side we all enjoyed it’s really a different feeling. We three generation wear old fashioned old styled dress. After that whenever she came to visit us we all four wear dress like that for sometime. Yes, we wear salwars like old pattern. It’s loose pleated tight at the ankle 12-13 inch (6 inch one side), salwar borders are at least 3-4 inch straight stitching.

However other than that I wore same designed dress along with my daughters a couple of times.

Looking forward to hear when you'll make it. It would really be interesting then.

This year, we dont have Diwali (some one expired in my hubby's family). For kids i got Patiala. I have 3 new sarees. Will manage with that.
