Default Sites to improve my dressing sense.

Hi Ladies.
Is there any good sites which will help me to improve my dressing sense and also my make up. As always being a bookworm i never cared for my dressing sense. but now i have started realizing that i really need to change as my husband likes modern looks, i mean he goes by latest fashion trends. Also, i sincerely want to change as i see the girls younger than me dress so well and me :(( being at manager level it sometimes gives me a complex. As being petite i don’t know what to wear, my complexion is fair. My hair till my shoulder, so not sure of the hairstyle as the texture of my hair is very bad. So, finally I always have to tie it up only. Which never gives me a different look? I want to make myself look good and make my husband feel proud of me J
I know ILites have always helped everyone with their advice, hope the same for me too.
Thanks In Advance!!!!!!

Sim

Hey Simran

First of all get out of whatever little complex you have (may have )... everybody is beautiful!!!

what do you think you are lacking in ? You say you are petite.. how I envy you !! being petite you can carry off most clothes well !! if its your hair thats bothering you, try a visit to any good parlor ( you will come out with a bang new hair cut and a few hundreds of rupees lighter ..) but let me tell you its worth it !!!

Try on different outfits ... you will know which one suits you best!!

and yes .. walk with a nice smile on your face .. it will bring happiness to you and to those around you .. and will make everyone feel nice !!

cheers

Bhooma

Hi Simran,

First and foremost, the way to be beautiful is to have the confidence that you are beautiful though. A woman can be pretty looking and wear nice, pretty clothes but if she seems uncomfortable, it can be easily noticed a mile away and would distract the viewer from seeing the real her and just judging her as a naive wannabe who couldn't be comfortable in her own skin.

So, first nurture your confidence in your looks and then go for fashion since you will have positive view about the types of fashion you can pull off instead of just gravitating towards the fashions you can't pull off and feel negative/depressed about it or worse yourself.

Some sites that would be helpful to gather info about fashion (both indian and western) are here:

Health & Beauty

These are some informative sites for beauty and fashion.

But there are some basic questions, you first have to answer to easily and accurately search for tips.

1) What is your body shape?---A pear? Apple? Hourglass? Slender-boy type?

2) What is your body frame?---Tall and skinny? Tall and chubby? Short and Skinny? Short and chubby?

3) What is your face shape?---Round? Square? Oblong? Oval? Pear?

4) What is your hair type?---Straight? Wavy? Curly? Frizzy?

5) What colors suit you best?---Soft pastel colors? Bright colors? Black and white? Deep jewel colors? etc

6) What is your fashion style?---Classy and sophisticated? Trendy and fashionable? Sporty and natural? Eclectic and artistic? Earthy and Bohemian? Feminine and pretty? Urban and retro? etc

7) What's your skin tone and color?---Oily? Dry? Combination (T-zone)? Normal? Fair with blue undertones? Fair with yellow undertones? Wheatish (Medium) with blue or yellow undertones? Dark with blue or yellow undertones?

8) What type of jewelry suit you best?---Gold? Silver? Platinum? Jeweled?

9) What type of clothing do you like to wear or want to frequently wear?---Tops and skirts? Tops and pants? Western Dresses? Indian Dresses? etc

10) What are your problem areas that you want to de-emphasize?--Tummy? Big Hips and Thighs? Large chest? Big arms? Large nose? etc

11) What best features you want to emphasize?--toned tummy? Good figure? Pretty eyes? Pretty lips? Pretty neck? Toned arms? Good waist? etc

12) What are your body measurements?--They are essential to get a good fitted clothing that would not only take off pounds from your body but also give you height too.

With these basic answers to the important questions, you can search for beauty or fashion tips that suit you!!

Before you go for shopping or get a new haircut though, I suggest you do research or get advice from a fashionable person who would be happy to help you, since it would save you time and from bad experience.

hi serenity,
very good sites!!!!
dear simran
always buy clothes that fit you properly.
go for colour.
for office wear you could try formal shirts with formal skirts or trousers.
for a new haircut that suits you go to the best parlour in your area who can suggest the best look for you.i am sure that change will give you loads of confidence
regards
pavi
