Default donating old cloths

Hi Frds,
most of us must have stacked old cloths in odd ways,either we feel they r still very much useful or we just cant find a way to dispose them just like that. its always better to donate them to poor n needy ppl who can use them.lets share the ideas abt donating the cloths . i'm from hyd.i would like anyone to suggest me a good ashram where i can donate my old cloths.

Hi Lakme,
Me too from hyderabad and looking out for good ashram. Although i have given most of my old clothes & sandals to my maid, i often think that the people who really are deprived of them, should be given. Inform me if you found any good one.

Heard from my friend that there is an organiztion called Asha for Education in Banjara Hills.you can donate used clothes and Kitchen items.

Hai Lakme,

Very good idea, our friend gave good website also.

If any ashrams or any other welfare centre in chennai means, it is more easy to donate clothes.

But i heard from so many people that during Tsunami time affected people refused to receive the used items, in particular used clothes.

hi shree,

Udavum karangal, before they used to come and collect the items,rice,clothes,books whenever we used to give a call..now they are finding it difficult...

now i call a gurukulam which is in kovilambakkam....they come and collect...will give you if u are interested....
