Malyatha ,
You have hit the nail on the head. This is something which boils my blood whenever I see (in film or news) and hear.
This is just atrocious.
I seriously cannot understand how can a man(rather animal???) rape a girl w/o shame. He shud feel ashamed rather than the girl.I seriously miss a point here. The girl is being forced and the guy also reveals(@####??) in front of her.But why is it that the girl should be shunned by the society just bcoz she showed(?@@#@#) something to another guy.
The guy thinks he acheives something by raping a girl. The stupid movies show that to take a revenge on a man they rape the ladies in the family. How so idiotic?
I am sorry to say the above in a public forum .I could not put it in a much decent way.
This will never change unless a man is made to feel ashamed of raping or molesting.

I vehemently oppose your views here! There are women of all types. Some who beleive prostitution is the best way to live, and others who say even a mere look at a woman calls for a question on chastity. And Malyatha, not all heroines are PURELY FOR MONEY! And how do you know that they happily (??!!) sell their bodies? It can happen, I am not negating the possibilty, but I truly stand against your generalisation. Not all heroines love skin show and do it for bags of cash. There are so many things involved - ranign from a proper life, sometimes a family ( Did you know Silksmita educated her sisters only from this money), fame ( it is addictive, and i do not support it, but that is also a reason), family situations ( heard of celebrity mom's who make their daughters sleep!)

Archana, I have a different point of view here.I think Malyatha is right.Heroines are purely for MONEY and FAME.This is undeniable. What else?Do you think they come on screen for "kalaithondu"?No way!Show me one heroine today who does not like to her skin and has a clean chit.I will take back my words.Cine world is ugly behind the screen.
But Archana, Thatz not the point. Please do not loose the serenity of the thread.Malyatha has a different thing to say here. The ladies above are trying to find a solution here.
She is talking about rape being considered as a casual thing. But it is nice to see that we have good lady directors these days who are inteliigent enough to take good movies without any obscene scenes.I simply loved Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum.
I think we cannot get away with all this atrocity unless we instill the right thoughts to our sons and daughters.
Regards!
