Greetings, It has happened many times, including today that I stumbled upon the comment/statement (whatever it is for them) that Religion is a thing for middle class. To each their own. And I do not mean any particular religion but RELIGION;be it any. what is your point of view? Let me start with mine; for me it is my way of life and I do belong to middle-class. regards, Yumna
For me (personally) religion is nothing. Was raised christian but became a nonbeliever in my early 20s. The outer signs of religion (festivals, rituals) are familiar and been doing my best to learn about different religions. Religion can bring good (inner peace, foregiveness) but also bad (extremism, looking down on science eg regarding health issues).
born a hindu but turned a non-believer. it doesn't mean anything to me at all. it was a creation to create a fear to make go the right path, the masses. those who fight on this is cheap class and those who don't are top class, whichever religion they might practice.
I am born as Hindu Brahmin and follow all rituals which doesn't hurt others. For me, it is way of happy living but not in term of hearting others (physically or emotionally). There are many rituals in Brahmins which I do not follow just in the name of religion.
To me Religion is very personal. My space, my belief, my sentiments, my culture, my tradition and my way of life. My religion is my identity..
Religion is like a pair of gloves.....Find one that fits for you, but don't make me wear your gloves... Rich r poor, everyone has their own identity..
CrayoNess, GG, Priya, Parineetha, deepslikes, deepthiraaj; Thanks to all of you for sharing your views. It was so nice of you people taking time to share what religion is for you. @deepthiraaj...if religion is like a pair of gloves..it was not about which one you should wear or making any one to wear any one else's. It was about if you believe in wearing that pair of gloves (religion) or not at all. I will repeat,"To each their own". regards, Yumna
Religion is not a belief or a practice but it is way of life. It has been left by our ancestors to teach the younger ones the way to lead life. The books are a guide to the do's and the dont's of life. To those who disbelieve it does not exist, for those who believe it teaches you many things. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE : PRAYERS ARE HEARD AND GOD WILL REWARD US WITH BETTER THINGS THAN WHAT WE HAVE ASKED HIM. MY FAITH HAS ALWAYS HELPED TO BUILD A BETTER ME.
