help adive regarding buying a home

we r just casually looking to buy a new home in Us in austin tx somewhere in north side ,but werent sure whether its right thing ,right now we r only have 1 income i am not working and currently we dont have any kids but planning to have in nr future .. can anyone answers few queries
1. Is it wise to buy a home now with 3 bedrooms minmum
what sq ft do normally pl prefer i know it depends on budget too
2.which area is a good area in austin tx
3. Do we need a realtor to buy a new home
4. Does a 2 storeyhse resale better
5. what are main features to look for in a new home
6. your Experiences with various builders if any

although we have plans to stay in the hse for at least few yrs ,we r mainly looking in terms of resale.....if in future we sell hse we should get a good value

Its good time to buy home In austin , Becoz the the value are increased by 12k in last 6 months ,In every year its getting increaseing by min of10K !

1.Of course chooseing the single or double story is depends on ur budget, but
mostly single story will give good return ! But if u give prefrence to the elevation u have to choose the double storyone . Mostly both will cost same !
Regarding the Sft choosing its depends on the single or double story.
But min 2000 sft home will be good. for Your future family planing.

2.Going with realtor is good option , they will negotiate the price with builder
usally u will get some discount or upgrade .
chooseing the relator is very important Pls go by some references.

3.Regarding the future ,bunch of them add value to ur home ! main things Like
Kitchen appalinces, (atleast black colour or stainless steel ),counter tops
(grainte ),carpet -Berber, blinds(FAUX or wood) ,kitchen and restroom,foyer flooring(Tilesor grainte),backyard door(double door) , backyard patio, Ceiling of the house is very important . Higher ceiling will give good looking.

4. our experience davidweekly is good .
