Wii for adults..Suggestions required

Hi dear ILs ,

DH is badly wanting to buy wii. Am not too much into video games, so I have no idea about it...But I really want to suggest him options, Any of u using wii, pls give me suggestions on how to buy it/ what games to buy?? I do understand gaming interest would depend on individual, do give me a general opinion on the games that u know/find interesting..

Not sure if there would be any deals, but would want to buy it during thanks giving.. Any any suggestions regarding buying/choosing would be helpful.

I dont own one and thinking of buying one very soon. It is great to play as a family...like teams. Here we have it in the recreation corners in the offices for the staff to relax. I have played tennis and golf and Enjoyed a lot. Actually you can go down to any electronic stores and try your hands on for a while and get a catalogue of popular games. The sales person will tell a lot abt it.

Wii is the best thing that we have ever had.I have Wii sports which is the basic kit in Wii.You would have games like golf, tennis, baseball,bowling and boxing.You can play single or play in teams..its whole lot of fun.I also have couple of other games with me
1.Crossbow training- it is one of the best shooting games that I have ever seen/ played., You will have various levels to clear and its challenging too.This is one of the high rated/ reviewd games and stores invariably run out of stock.ou would get a shooter/zapper when you purchase this game.It costs around $25 , but worth it.

2.Mario Kart- again one of the best rated games.

3.Wii play- this is a ganme you get whrn you purchase the 2nd wii remote.It has some real fun games with hasaar levels to clear.

Wii console used to cost $250, but now they have slashed the price to $200..it is bound to cost cheaper during thanksgiving.

We have one at home. I seldom play but DH and DD love it. The wii sport with Tennis and Golf are their favs. We have the two remotes and have some games for DD but she prefers playing the Tennis.
Heard of a wii exercise kit available in the markets. Trying to figure out what it's all about. I may get one of those for myself!

we do own wii,bought a month ago.i should say its worth it. the sports game package includes tennis,golf,baseball,boxing and golf with multiplayer options.so we have 2 remotes and we enjoy playing tennis against each other.its a great time pass and interesting too.last years winter was terrible,we dint want this winter to be the same.i should say its worth investing.xbox and ps are have better graphics and better effects but it might not be interesting if you are don have a aggressive ,competitive feelings.wii also have racing games the NFS undercover which we have , quenches my DH's thirst.he loves it!i rarely play it and i jjust enjoy golf and tennis.

Thanks for your replies...I understand the wii basic will have the sports games. When I buy the wii console, will it come with the wii basic kit? Or should I purchase that seperately?
When I buy the wii console,would I get any games with that,at all?

Neets, Same winter issue here ;) So hoping to get some fun inside home with it... Let me see how it works out..

We have a wii... Its awesome. The wii console comes with "wii sports" and one wii-mote (The remote) and one nunchuk controller.
We also have the wii play and wii sports resort. Wii play had a wii-mote with it, so we bought it, but the games in that are totally useless. So you can buy an additional wii-mote so that two of you can play together :)
If you want to buy additional games, i highly recommend the wii sports resort.. Its awesome...you can check out this - Wii Sports Resort Bundle with Two Wii MotionPlus It has 2 motion plus accessories (If you have 2 wii-motes you will need this) You can see the reviews as well.

I have heard good reviews about the wii fit as well.. Planning to buy during thanksgiving
