| Hi Selvi, Udon is Japanese noodles. They are about 5 to 6 times bigger in size than regular noodles. it is one of the most easiest things to cook. I usually make it when i feeling too lazy to go the whole way!! Its good that you are getting some ideas from this thread. V |

| Lunch was Rice for son,Keerai sambar,tomato rasam,capsicum-tomato-onion curry,chappathis,and fruits.Tonight,its going to be some upma-vermicelli or rava,have not decided yet. Last night was cool.One Mr. Pickles Sandwich shop has opened right opposite our home and we had sandwiches from there for dinner. ![]() |

| Hey, my son is not well, so today for lunch- so the main item is a chutney with ginger, curry leaves and pirandai with pepper, jeera and ash gourd sambhar and cabbage for hubby. Of course, curds and pickles. Night, mostly curd rice, till sonny becomes alright. |

| Sunday Brunch: Vengaya sambhar, mochai sundal and lime rasam. Dinner plans are for Italiano. Penne with spinach, redpeppers and sundried tomatoes. Pesto pizza with tomatoes and broccoli for kids. And i picked up some yummy fresh baked Italian bread with Dipping Olive oil at the farmers market today. Vandhana |

| hello nothing interests a woman more than cooking i guess see the number of replies me too.. i never reply/look up recipies.. and yet made me wonder what everyones cooking... and wow makes mouth water aloo parota noodles kadalai kootu.. somebody on diet... and you can learn italiano too.. my sons had come last weekend they love pickles ... i made thokku with curry leaf/pudina.. really yummy... (kuttu for saying it myself?) so for all ye thokku priyas... tamarind -lemon size.. curry leaf a handful washed and dry mustard,fenugreek powder half tsp, chilli powder 1 tsp, jaggery if u like, oil salt to taste grind tamarind and curryleaf without water heat oil add mustard, ground curryleaf, fenugreek powder. chilli powder, keep on low fire for two to three minutes. let me know if u like it.. pudhina or mint the same instead of curryleaf curryleaf thokku tastes better than pudina.. my sons hubby and everyone liked it.. sathya |
