Hi Shree, Mostly people gift kitchen appliances as a housewarming gift (that's what we got mostly for ours) Some ideas are: Kitchen- Set of anodized cookware (10-12pieces)-these are the latest in cookware now Electric rice cooker Dinner ware sets Electric griddle (long rectangle ones) Decorative serving bowl or trays Or any appliances you feel she does not have yet (of course it depends on your budget too) Decorative pieces Digital picture frames or bamboo/wooden frames too Paintings Art pieces Bath Bath sets with towels, novel soaps, lotions etc Gardening If your friend has a green thumb then... Starter kit for garden with tools, seeds etc. You may also include a new plant if they are into it. You can also create a gift basket (choose a theme) and arrange different items in that. Some even gift the Lucky bamboo or the Money plant (indoor plants) for luck and to symbolize a new start !! Good luck in finding a wonderful gift !! Cheers Krithika

| Hi Shree, Even I prefer giving gifts than gift cards/money. If she is nature lover, then you can give them a flower pot and a beautiful wall hanging (Natural scenery).

Shree What about a nice Altar for the pooja.....(we get them ranging from 200$ till 750 or so...)...or any silver idol or pooja items like thaali or kalash or small diyas etc (this surely will fall in your budget...) because these things will always be used and kept for ever..even we cherish them forever and keep them very very close to our heart...

Do they have any gift registry? U can request them to create one. I prefer that as our innovative gifts may not solve its purpose. Otherwise, gift cards is a wise choice. Rithi

Hi Everyone, Firstly Thanks for soo many ideas. Next Iam sorry for not replying immediately. I happened to go to BedBathandBeyond and there I saw a very nice Clock. So I have decided to get that and Iam looking for something else with it also. Actually my daughter suggested the clock and she told me that they will defenetly use it as they have two Living rooms. I felt the same too. Iam also planning to get her something for her kitchen, and yet to find something. Thanks again Shree.
