Default what vacuum cleaner do you have?

hi can indusladies who live in us quickly suggest a good vacuum cleaner for cleaning carpet. i had moved and have to buy one soon. no time for doing online research. Hope indusladies will give a helping hand in this matter. please give your suggetions quickly. i have always lived in wooden floor apartments and did not need one until today. Thanks for any help friends.
