hi friends, iam travelling to india with my 14 month son and iam worried about his food that i can carry.the main concern is that he is used to boiled water for formulas etc.he has started on whole milk which i boil on stovetop and cool it.(india habit...).now iam worried that i would b getting just warm water or milk in flight, which they just keep in hot water and give,so it may effect his stomach.i dont know how much this fear is valid, but yes iam concerned about it.what should i do? and the other doubt is can i carry some breakfast item like upma, idli in ziplocks for my son or just have to take sealed food? i really need your help. thank you friends for your time regards.. naaz Last edited by sknaaz; 1st July 2008 at 03:56 PM.

Hi friend..You can get mineral water inside flight. You can use that.Else You can fill your baby's bottles with the water you use and take in flight.I did not have problems taking so. Just give a try..If clicked you can take.I took chapathi and fed him before take off...It passed all scanning..They did not remove it.

you can request for hot water/ hot milk on plane. What they do is they fill your bottle with cold milk and keep in a container of hot water. so it is passive heating and slow process. I used to request 30 mins in advance. Also request them when they are not serving food for other passengers. Baby is allowed on board. Even if they question you can say it is for the baby. I always did that without any problem Rithi

Hi friends As some of you know. I am planning to visit India soon with DD. Many of us have visited India after birth of their baby in different countries. And many of us are planning in near future. I was wondering if I and others can use your experience and make our most awaiting India trip enjoyable and memorable. I have few questions in my mind which I want to start with. 1) How do you manage 24 hr. journey? Any tips on that 2) How much time it will take for DD to adjust with time difference? What should be done. Will add some more later Thanks Meeta

| hi saranya, u get most of the stuff in india. we went this yr and found all the stuff there. they are ready to arrange for the stroller which has car seat, if u order. even the local pharmacies have the pampers diaper in various sizes. the Rmkv guy have the large pack diaper like how we get here in costco or sams.they have the wipes, the sippy cups, the feeidng bottles like here. u get almost everything. few items really good there like the feeding bottle which comes with the spoon which u cannot find in US. look for those kind of stuff too. i took the gerber stuff adequately for the trip so i did not get a chance to look for that in chennai shops. hope this one helps.
