| My husband recently presented me a food processor. I have been looking around for Salad, soups and bread recipes. I am sure people who have been here in US for a while will have one. Can you tell me what are the jobs that you use it for ? I started using it for 1. Grating carrot 2. Cutting vegetables like carrot, potato, beetroot, radish etc 3. To make chappathi dough, potato fillings. 4. To make slices of cucumbers, potatoes etc The model he has gifted me is a 12 cup Kithchen Aid processor. i would like to hear from all of you any comments abotu food processors like it's maintenance, care, usage, utility and space occupancy etc.

Thanks & Regards, ManuuRaghuu |

| I want to buy a food processor and I will be using it mainly for making roti dough or shredding carrots / vegetables etc. I don't want a large processor that takes up too much space. Which one do you experts suggest ? -Parul |

| Thanks for all your replies ladies. I do the same things what you mentioned. Making parantha and bread doughs is a cake walk with food processor. I never used to get perfect chappathi doughs till we got this processor. It's a friend for a newbie cook. Unfortunately it doesn't have dicing abilities ( like you get in frozen mixed veggies section). I slice and then cut it,which is easier, but not perfect. Parul, Visit Amazon and read reviews of the major processors. I like Kitchen Aid's that my husband got. It's pretty cool. 12 cup processor I think.
