Default Visa - Help me pls

Hi,
I'm going to get married in few months. My fiance and myself, both are working in the same company. He has h1 already and we are planning to go to US (to one of our company branches) after the marriage since the company is already pushing him to go.

I don't want to sit idle after my marriage. I didn't apply for h1 this year. So, I can apply only on April and the interview will be on next october. So, getting h1 would be in the long run.

My company doesn't offer L1 for anyone. So, No L1

I couldn't go thru' H4 if I want to work. - So, No H4

Through B1, we should be back within 3-6 months. Can you suggest me a way thru' which I could get work permit. I can work for my company. Thats not a problem. But going thru' is a problem now. Friends, can you suggest me a solutions?

Thanks in Advance,
Uma

sorry to say...but NO is the answer...unless he files for an green card and gets an EAD..which has lotsa legal issue tied to it...

But hey..there may be other ILites who come up with a suggestion which I'm also very eager to know about...

Unfortunately you need to have a H1, L1 or a green card to work here in the U.S...If you come on F1(student visa) then you can temporarily work in the school...but it looks like this is not an option for you....Can you come on H4 for now and move to H1 later?

If you come on L2 or J2 also, you can get EAD within 3 months, but for that your spouse has to be L1 or J1.

There is no solution. If you want to come to US and stay with your husband then h4 is the only visa available. Try to learn something during that period and prepare yourself fresh for the next year h1n quota.

My Advance wishes for your wedding

There is a way.. but it would cost ya...

F1 (Student) and then get your H1 later...

you can go to CPT/OPT after few semesters.. so you can start working and change you status ;)

I suggest your husband ask his company to sponsor L1 instead of H1.Is that a option ?
Other wise you can come on F1 and later get H1.

Thanks
