We got a free locker from Bank of America when we opened our checkings and savings accounts there. The box is big enough to keep my jewellry and some papers. I do not feel comfortable keeping my expensive jewellry at home, especially since we hear so much in the news about people breaking into indian homes for the jewelry.

Check with your bank, they may be able to arrange a locker for you.

I have a locker at BOA too , but I had to pay for it ..I didnt get that offer (wonder y). Mine is the small long one ..I think it is 2*5 ..it holds jewels , passport ..i have to pay 47$ per year .
they have various sizes ...and the one which you can keep documents will come to around 90 $ from BOA.I am not sure abt the other branches but at my branch I have to wait for a long time to access the locker ..which I hate.
You can check with Chase and citibank ...but i guess all will come within this range only.
As u said , thefts are increasing at indian homes..one of my friends lost her jewels ,passport and laptop..

Thumbs down re: Looking for Bank Lockers

Here i am living in dallas,tx. here it is really very busy tht i am trying to take locker they are not avail in my area.
I tried in banks BOA and even Wells Fargo. they both said they r not going to charge any fee for tht. It's free of cost.
Anybody who has checking/savings acct, they get locker for free.

its been few months tht i am trying to get tht, still they say none of the locker is avail.. so i am still waiting...

We have BOA lockers too and they are free since we have an account there. It is the small locker - enough to keep jewelry and passports. I think that if you want a larger one, you may have to pay for it. Not sure why some IL's are being charged by BOA.

Hi,

I have a locker in BOA the small long one is free and it holds few jewelery, passports and green cards. If you need a big one you will have to pay 90$.
To get the locker for free you need to have a minimum balance.
