Get Together ideas

In US it's very common to meet people, have get together and it's like the more the merrier. I am sure people who have been staying here for a long time, have their social circles.

What do all do when you meet other Indian friends. Talking is always there.

Recently at a meet-up at our friend's place in Chicago, music show was organized. They had karaoke machine and tracks. Each person sang with it before others. There was a potluck and it was a wonderful day meeting new people. Activities bring people together.

Share your experience like what games you play. Board games are popular here especially in US. Also watching movies together is fun. Computer games seems to be a good idea too.

In our place we usually have a potluck and gossip, meet new people etc.... But the last dec 31 we wanted to do something fun. so we had some silly couple games where each couple participates and it was a big hit. every body started to get enthusiastic slowly and for once we became like kids. infact all the kids were a little annoyed with us that day.

other option is poker. man u have some interesting and weird conversations at that time.

so these are the things we do.

Hi meenloch,

We usually organise potluck every month. we enjoy singing songs, playing ideal couples, finding out the movie names by actions, playing cards like uno. Even we are thinking of doing something different. so if anyone have any ideas you are welcome.
