Default How can we follow "Vastu Shastra" in US?

Hi,

Recently we shifted to Phoenix.I was searching apartment from 3-4 days.Apartments are depends upon the availability. How can one get exacltly what "Vastu Shastra" says.Lets start talking about remedies of following Direction tips.

Position of rooms in the house-
1) Plot should be square one.A rectangular plot is good, but length should not be double than breadth.
2) Bedrooms-Southwest is the best position for bedrooms.
3)Children room should be in the northwest or West Side.
4) Kitchen may be located the southeast corner of the house.
6) The dining room should be located in the East or the West or the North nears the kitchen. Northwest corner is good for perishable goods. Dinning room may be in the Northwest direction, which leads to quicker consumption of food.
7) As per Vastu Shastra, the East is the place for the bathroom. Attached bathroom may preferably be in the North, or the East of a bedroom.
Drawing room should be preferably in the Northeast or the North or the East but not in the Southwest portion of the house.

Awaiting for eager replies,
NiNi

hi nini,
i'm sorry to discourage you..but our Vastu shashtra is a classical science about designing and building structures for living in harmony with nature. It is based on the geographical location of our country, wind pattern, sun paths and the cosmic energy vibrations pertaining to india. It cannot be applied as such to a location in U.S or any other country...What i would suggest is for you to get hold of a credible vaastu practitioner (beware of quacks) and give him/her your options to assess the best suitable one for you...I'm an architect who worked with one of the leading authorities on Vastu...u may try reading her book "Penguin Guide to Vastu - Sashikala Ananth" to get clear ideas about vastu before setting into buying a place...heres the link to her website..Vaastuhealing - Reaching out to the whole extended human family
All the best!

final decision will be yours, as it's your life, your home. I just wanted to say we lived in USA for yrs changed several house without considering VASTU.
see! what has to happen will happen. It's your HARD WORK & FATE that counts. It's good to have a knowledge of VASTU, FENGSUI or any other practises people follow( i don't know). But to let them rule your life & decisions doesn't seem right. I have not seen a single house who is really vastu perfect. It's going to be difficult for u to find a house if u limit yourself to the requirements of VASTU. if the house is airy, sunlight, peaceful, go for it.....

My Dear Friends,

Agreed to all of you ,one can never find a perfect house according to Vastu-Shastra.But have you heard about various Vastu Remedies.

Vastu considered the interplay of various forces of nature involving the five elements of earth, water, wind, fire and ether and strives to maintain equilibrium as these elements influence, guide and change the living styles of not only human beings but every living being on earth. Thus they influence our deeds, luck, behavior and other basics of life.

The biggest Proof of Vastu Shastra can be found during the time of Ramayan and Mahabharat. I will give you another live example. The location and construction of the famous Balaji Temple, the most prosperous in India, are all according to Vastu.
