Writing a Will

Hello Ladies
How many of you have written a will, joint will etc.. How many have been thinking of doing so? Has anyone done this online?

I believe before anyone even thinks about a will, there are other steps that need to be taken.

In most homes, one spouse is adept at doing certain things while the other may have taken it for granted.
Most of us don't have enough time to discuss things. So couples should be cross-trained in the various arenas of life.
Basically cross-training a spouse or educating an adult child on the whos, whats, or wheres of your life comes to compiling a list of phone #s, account #s, medication names etc
Various categories I can think of are
Household ( maintenance records,passwords,phone #s) for utilities,bills, contractors, repair services,

Professional ( contact #s for doctors,financial advisors,investment pros,

Dependents ( children and aged parents and pets) caregiver #s, list of medications, pharmacy #s

School ( phone# ,nurse #)

Relatives and friends ( phone#s)

Financial ( info on taxes,loans,Retirement plans,credit cards, Power of attorney,Home mortgage info , Banking and saving accounts and their pins) Also share where the check book is or on-line passwords.

It might be a good idea to write down some of the info and keep it in a safe place as during stress most people will have a difficult time trying to recollect.

Ideally each spouse has to be trained to run the house in case of crisis as a co-captain.

But it is good to know all these information and keep them ready/handy.

Didn't mean to scare you. Most people have some of these information handy anyway.
Even otherwise it will come handy when one spouse has to be away from the country on a crisis involving extended family , for eg.
