Dear Selvi

Buy 'Preethi Chefro Plus-110 volts'.You will get 3 Jars,One big,one medium and one small. Also you will get 2 storage jars.I got this when I came to the U.S. last yr.Works very well. Also,if you overload the jars, the mixie automatically switches off and then you will have to press a red button under the mixie to start it again. This is a good safety feature and it really helps.

Cheers

Hi Selvi,

I know that Sumeet has the mixie available in 110V. I have asummet that I have been using for the past 8 yrs. But , there are whole bunch of new brands in India, may be they are better.

Default Regd. Mixie

I would definitely recommend Preethi Chefro Plus. I'm using it here in US and it seems to work fine(I'm not facing any problem). One of my friend got Kenstar from India and the motor got burnt in 1 week. And as far as i heard, Sumeet is also nice..

Default Problem with Preeti

Hi ,

I too got Preeti from India 8 months back.

It was working very nice till last week when it suddenly stopped while grinding chutney.I tht may be it was overloaded and tried switchiting it on ...but nothing worked.(I even tried to switch on the mixe without the jar ...but hopeless).
I have made little use of this mixie in these 8 months.I dont know what to do ...and I am not sure where to give it for repairing.
I guess I have to buy a blender here .

My friend used Summet and she had lots of problems ...now she is got ridden of all mixies and have got Cusinart blender ..and that works fine. (for chutney ..even for vadai batter).

Go for some mixie which has got service center in the area where you live (Preeti has got a service center in Texas ..I heard)

Hope it helps !!!

Default Regd. Mixie

Hi Rogo, Sorry to hear that your mixie got repaired...Is the problem with the jar or with the mixie? Did you check using the other jars provided...Is it still not working? Then i guess the problem is with the mixie.

In India i had Butterfly mixie with me...I faced similar problem where my small jar did not work...The dealer who repaired told that the nut was tight and had got stuck. (I generally fill the jar with water and put in the sink for cleaning, hence i realised that this could have been the problem).

Preethi has service centers in US. Just try enquiring them. These are the details:
PERFECT PENINSULA INC.
1041, Sweet Grass Trail,
Flower Mound, TX 75028.
Tel: 1-972-691-0686.
Fax: 1-443-705-0089.
email:

Selvi, if you are planning to buy a mixie from India, then you can get one from India. If you have already landed in US, then i would suggest going for a blender since they are cheaper and good replacement for mixie's.

Anyway, wishing you a very happy and safe journey..

Take care
Sujatha
