| Hi Krithi, We generally buy water in gulf be it for cooking or drinking. They come in different cans. There is a general saying that if you are buying bottled mineral water, it is already safe to drink and there is no reason to boil it. |

| Hi Sharadha, That is great ! No probs for you then.... ![]() But generally bottled water is considered more expensive than filtered water....since you are buying in big cans.. then absolutely it is wonderful. Cheers Krithika ( Jithiks) |

| I use PUR filter water for drinking and cooking purposes. Somehow v apprehensive about using direct tap water even when i was in india. We even have Brita but i hardly use it. I have a v sensitive tummy ,so i carry water even when we visit friends and for any other place it has to be bottle water.suji |

| Dear Krithika Here i use bottle water for drinking as tap water is very bad. but for cooking i use the tap water, but will boil the water and keep and only then i am able to use it for cooking.

| Hi Suji, Thanks for writing in. It is impossible to drink direct tap water in India. People in Chennai have now started using Aqua guard for drinking & cooking. Ofcourse people do buy the huge cans too. Better still, some people are even harvesting rain water ( it is filtered externally) and let into their well to sustain their ground water table. Throughout the year, the level of water is about 6 to 7 feet only. I can surely understand about your sensitive tummy...and it is good that you are carrrying water wherever you go. Cheers Krithika ( Jithiks) Quote:
