Taking medicines to US and some more doubts about clothing

Hi,
Does a prescription is needed for taking medicines to US? will the flight authorities check my bags? Can I take medicine in career handbag as I am taking few harmone tablets?
I am quite over size and i find it difficult to get good official clothes to US. Will it be nice if i wear chudidaars daily to office?

Few friends/relatives gave me suggestion like - need to buy plain shirts, mostly long hands but took only 2 short hand tops and one long hands one. Clothers are not at all nice here.. pls advice

I would suggest to carry the prescription with you along with medicines. It will make it easy for you. About wearing Churidar to work, well I am not sure how formal is your work environment. Once you land here you can go shopping as there is plenty available at reasonable price and in every size possible.

Dont worry too much about dress. You get all lovely sizes here. I am an XL in indian size, but I get M size here in US. You get all sizes here .

About medicines, Get prescription for ALL medicines. Even if you checkin them in the baggage, keep prescriptions along with it.
If you decide to carry 1 or 2 tablets in your handbag, then get prescription for that also and keep it with you.
