HI,
Since a month we don't have curry leaves in Boston area... it was getting spoiled the day they used to bring it into the market.
However, it was available last week. Anyways I got used to cook without it last month.
So nothing to worry.
When I came here 10yrs back, there was no curry leaves.....

Regards.

hi sriha,
thanks a lot for the info...during the past few visits to the grocery store either the curry leaves have not been there or they are very old and almost wilted...was wondering what was wrong...hmmm...it adds such a nice aroma to the cooking...well, i guess we have to do without it and hope the powder is a good substitute....

hi malspie
i guess its been banned because some pest has been found in the curry leaves shipment. hence they have quarantined the shipment and banned further shipments.
the link in sriha's original post gives more specific details...

Hi Sriha,

Thanks for the info. For the past 2 or 3 weeks we can`t get curry leaves here.
I was wondering what may be the reason. I miss curry leaves very much.
I prepare green gram dal dosa by adding lot of curry leaves. I miss it.
