Hi Poorani,

Visit your local IRS and apply for an ITIN and also you can simultaneously file your tax returns.the representative there will guide you in filing the tax returns.

Contact My Local Office

PS: take an appointment or else you need to spend almost half the day in their office as it will be crowded as this is the Tax season.

Hi shobanag

Is it necessary that all the pages of my Passport need to be notarised (36 pages) for applying ITIN ? Pl confirm what are the pages are required....?

Usually - when you get a document notarized - they do it on the last page. I would suggest that you copy all pges that have information on it - they are probably looking for identification information - with your photo, address,etc. It might be a good idea to get the page of your main information - the photo, passport no, etc, page notarized.
