hi everyone, laxmi brand is good but has a little husk to it while sujatha was very fine, has anyone tried deep or swad.as rotis become a important part of all pack up lunches(kids lunch, husband tifins and ours too) it is one of the most important issue right now in my life. had tried golden temple and nirav and had everyone complaining about rubber rotis. am quiet a good cook so the problem lie in the atta, it is also white in colour and has a lot of maida mixed to it. so have to decide about the next brand to get. thanks all for the reply unnati ![]()

Hey girls, I waited long enough for the response to my query of best atta. Unfortunately, I had to rush and buy atta a couple of days ago and I thought of trying a different brand this time (no choice anyway). I bought Captain cook brand atta..and its horribloe.. too rubbery and almost as white as golden temple brand color..trying various methods to make soft rotis with it..having bought 20 lbs, don't know what to do. Tired of eating rice everyday, worried about weight and what not.. Now, my fate is with this rubbery atta until its over..as I can't even donate the opened pack in this country. So, girls, if you have a suggestion to me as to what to do with it, I would be be happy...May be I will try laxmi atta next time..if its available. Thanx for the feedback so far, Geeth Priya

Dear Geeth Priya, This happens to all of us once in a way, so don't be upset! It is unfortunate that atta bags are so big. As far as I know, only Golden Temple sells small size atta bag. Now that you are tied down with the 20pounds of atta, just keep making rotis, maybe mooli, cabbage, gobi etc etc parathas. As you have already mentioned your concern about weight etc, I am afraid to suggest burfis and cakes that can be made with the atta! Another idea is to make naans. Naans may not turn out to be so 'rubbery'! And take heart, the 20 lbs will be gone before you realise:)) Just munch thro...........!! L, Kamla

Hi Rekhas, Any idea where to buy Nature's best brand atta in bay area... I don't see it anywhere in any super markets? Please let me know. Hi Kamala, I am not really upset about atta issue. I am just checking if there is a better or similar tasting atta like Pillsbury, since its out of stock. The rubbery atta i bought will last forever..i guess, given the way my hubby and I eat, hardly 5 rotis for both per day. Let me see if I am lucky to get Nature's best brand atta somewhere in bay area as it it next best thing to Pillsbury. Thanx a lot girls for the valuable suggestion as always, Geeth Priya.
