Vathals in US..??

Hi,

Can anyone tell me whether we get Vathals here in US.....if so then what r they called in English....and where is it possible to get them..??

Have you tried the Indian Grocery stores? Don't know which part of the US you are in, but here in the bay area, a lot of stores carry the vathals( vendakai, kothavarnagai and sundakai) .All Ambika appalam brand. I don'ct know the english names for them. But usually you can find them along with the pappads and appalams.

In my area there are only 2 small Indian Stores....so I doubt whether I 'll get vathals there....but I have seen frozen ladies finger.......I shall try looking again this weekend.....
