Hi Subha,
My friend's parents visited her to help her during delivery. She told me that AIG is good (pre-existing conditions not covered). You could PM our ILites of this thread to get their personal experience. Take care!

best,

AIG is pretty good, and I took it twice while visiting. about the New India Insurance, they try how not to clear claims.Any where it is best to inform the company at the instant of anything happening, and the claim will be much smoother.

HI Sindhuja,
Thanks for sharing info... even I was looking for insurance for you dad and wanted to know about the pre-existing coverages, as my dad was supposed to have by-pass surgery.

Regards.

Default Insurance for my inlaws

Hi

My inlaws are coming here by May.. We r planning to take insurance for them, when i asked my friends they said that the insurance company donot cover if there are any pre-existing conditions. Some of them said we dont need to take insurance if they over 60yrs. Is it true, has anyone had any experiences. Pls share ur experiences so that it will be helpful for me to decide to take insurance for them..

Default Re: Insurance for my inlaws

Hi! My parents are here for vacation and are 60+ years. We got IMG ie international medical group. they r reasonable and good too. Pls check in google for the choice as they have different plans.

Ask ur inlaws to get medicines from India for common ailments. It saves the frequent visits to Docs in case they get some minor complaints like cold, fever, sprain. Many of my friends suggested not to get the Insurance from India as many claims are not covered later.

Hope it helps.

Nirupama
