| Okay ladies Now have a new problem. The exterminator service has costed $700. Who needs to pay me or the landlord? If it is me, I feel stupid of my self for bringing the issue to the manager! The manager says as nobody in other apartment have complained it should be me who have bought it inside the apartment. But had I been told before I would have considered a cheaper pest treatment. What are the landlord/tenant laws? Rithi |

| Oh Meena, Just happend to hit on this post. Please accept my heart felt sympathies deary. I have no solutions for the bed bugs, but am silently learning the treatments to be followed to kill it. India has more of rodents and cockroaches! visible creatures to worry about and disgusting too. Even flats on the 7th floor have rodents entering through blaconies and windows and I thought rodents and cockroaches are found only in gutters!

| Hello ladies, I didn't get any reply for my previous post. When I reported the bed bug issue to the manager he called in the exterminator. He never mentioned anything about the payment and I was under the impression that they will pay the pest company with whom they already have contract with. Now after they got the invoice for $700, they are asking us to pay it. As no other apartments have any bedbug problem my landlord thinks I should have bought it in and I should be responsible for the treatment. So my concern is why I was not pre-informed about the payment? I would have looked around for a cheaper service. All they asked me was to co-operate with the exterminators, which is exactly what I did. Not sure of the landlord/tenant laws either. |
