    Best regards.:)

When a family is coming to USA to live here , for a short period or long term ,

Lots of doubts, questions and queries would be in the mind of the ladies....:spin

Like how life would be here,

    what to expect,

    availability of Indian food,

    climatic conditions and appropriate clothing,

what cooking utensils and gadgets should be brought from India,

what food items are allowed and what are not allowed to be brought,

medicines and first-aid and what to expect here in terms of a visit to doctor,

what are the formalities that should be done- like applying for SS number etc.,

Please share your tips and experiences here so that it would be helpful to the ladies who would be coming here......:thumbsup

    -Two steel tumblers for coffee.
    -Coffee filter.
    -Coffee powder or instant coffee.
    -Children's favorite plates/cups
    - a small steel cup/ oil can for pouring oil for cooking use.
    - two or three stainless steel vessels to store/serve sambar, rasam, curry etc.
    - some lightweight melamine plastic plates - 2-4 will come in handy

Should we confine only to kitchen items Bhargavi?
