Thumbs down Going to India – advice me with your Ideas/suggestions

Hi IndusLdies,

I would like to plan for India trip around end of November/start of December.
I am really poor at shopping stuff, I have no idea how to plan this and what to buy. Actually I am looking for some suggestions/ideas from IL ladies, like what kind of shopping I could do for mom dad sister brother and IN-law’s and frnds, aunt’s and uncle’s etc…
Looking forward for all your valuable advices…..

Thanks,
Chitti.

Dear Chitti

The best compact gifts for ladies are cosmetics, purses and watches. Ties and watches again work well for men.
If weight is not a constraint for you, articles like leather jackets, hats, pair of shoes, muffler-gloves, sweaters etc. coluld also be an option.
Also, there are medicinal instruments like meters for measuring blood pressure/diabetes etc, that could be gifted.

Hope this helps!
Charu..

Have a safe trip..

Hi Chitti

revlon, Maybelline, Loreal, Olay are all good brands and to top it, you can find them in any 'Walmart', 'Walgreens' etc stores.

Have a safe journey!

Hi Chitti,

Whenever i visit US, i bring the foll. as general gifts for each family...u can make a hamper and give it.

As you mentioned in limited budget, i suggest as under:

Almonds (costco you can get big packs)
Sun maid raisins (costco you can get big packs)
Saffron (indian stores)
Irish spring soaps (big pack of 20 bars from costco)
VO5 shampoo
perfumes

Get some ziplock bags and make small packets of almonds & raisins.

Try the clothing section at Walmart for the youngsters...many a times you get clothing from $3 onwards

Now with thanks giving round the corner...you will find lots of bargains.

Razors for the men.

Revlon products are economical.

BP / diabetes measuring instruments

Purse / handbags

In Walmart you get bedsheets starting from approx $1.69 or $2.69 these are good.

Non stick pans are also available at walmart.

Lander products from dollar stores....all were against me buying those products but i had got an itch cream from there for my sister and it has really helped her...no other creme was effective for her...but this is workingwonders for her.

I hope this helps.

Let me know what else you bought so i will have more ideas when i visit next.

Happy Shopping.

Warm regards
Roopa.
