| Hi all, I don't know how many of you have come across with problem. Whenever i make paratha they are not as soft as they used to be in India. I think either because of atta or coil stove in US parathas don't turn out real soft. If anyone of you have changed your way of making parathas here in US please let me know or at least pour in your suggestions to make soft paratha. Cheers, Ansh |

| Hi Ansh, Yes as our friend mentioned better try adding to atta warmwater and littleoil....you will get soft one. I follow the same, i get very soft chappathis/parathas..... All the best.

| Hi Kishnamma, I have started using this Indus Ladies recently. I found it very interesting. And, iam fresher in cooking. Got married recently and started cooking now. I have been trying to make soft chapathi for a long time but it never shows the way i want. Pls let me know some tips for this. Sory if this question is asked by some one else previously. ![]() |

| To make my chappatis at home, I knead the flour with a mix of 1/2 water and 1/2 milk. Use warm milk and warm water to knead the flour and knead it well and keep covered for 1/2 hour before making the chappatis. Once you make your chappatis, place them inside a paper napkin which is in turn covered by a piece of foil. This will retain the softness of the chappati after it has been made. |
