Hi ramya,

I stay in boston and last sunday i bought 1 bag 20 lbs of sona rice for $29.99!!
So i think $19.99 is far better.
Here we did not inquire abt how many they allow per household.

Hi,

Here in Chicago the indian grocery stores have started carrying the long grain rice, jasmine rice, fragrant rice varieties from US, Thailand ,Mexico. And the same is priced double the normal market rate. Even Basmati Rice is priced higher...

Recently I found BLUE RIBBON LONG GRAIN ENRICHED RICE in COSTCO which is 10$ for 25lbs bag. It isnt as good as sona masoori, but believe me it isnt that bad either..It isnt too starchy, and the grain after cooked isnt too fat. As an alternative to Sona masoori it really works out well...
And I was able to find Zafrani Basmati 20lbs bag for 15$. Where as the indian store sells the 10lb bag for 15-20$.
