Default POA-Attestation by Indian Embassy in US-Suggestions please

Hi Friends,
We are in a plan to buy a property in India. For that purchase to be made from here Power of Attorney needs to be attested by the Indian Embassy.I went through the website of Indian Embassy and they have given for the procedures for that.I have ceratin doubts in that,

1)In what paper can we take printout of the POA.Should it be taken in Stamp Papers like in India or ordinary paper? if stamp paper where can we get that is US?
2)It is also given in website that the POA should be duly notarised before getting them attested. Can US banks do that?
3)Do we need to paste photographs in POAs?

If anyone of you have availed this service, kindly clear my doubts.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Hi,

I don't think you need to have the POA attested. We purchased property in India a couple of years ago and just provided the POA to my f-i-l and we had no problems. You could also get it notarized which any bank will do for you.
