    I am visiting my family in India in december and I am planning to buy some gifts to my family. I am not getting any choice for my mother which she can use in day to day life. can you give me any ideas?

    Good body lotion, shampoo
    Good socks (kohls ones I like a lot)
    Those slippers we get to wear around the house here - soft and fluffy ones
    Ace Bandages
    Hair Dye if she uses it
    Almonds, Pista, Walnuts etc from costco
    Some kitchen items like veggie peelers, silicone whisks etc


    These are the things my mom and MIL like to take back home when they visit

    how about a coffee grinder - it'll help her in grinding small quantities of dry masala.. U should check for the voltage though and should buy a converter if required..

    thanks for giving me ideas.. I am also thinking of some kitchen ware or any household items and nuts.

    all fancy items I know she dont use them.

    how about taking cordless vaccum cleaner(small handy one) ofcourse she may need to use the converter to charge it.

    hi,

    my ideas for the gift is
    fleece throw, soft slippers to walk inside the house, foot file (my mom liked it very much its the DRscholls one), neck pillows if she will travel a lot, body moisturiser, hand bag, beads, watch, pedicure set.also based on your moms line of interest u can buy some items. say for stitching u have various items here, also craft related stuff if she is interested, bengay, hot or cold pack..... cofee grinder for making powders like cardamom in small quantity,

    chocolates cookies, pista, badam, other nuts.

    Fleece blankets or fleece jackets(unlike sweaters they are warm and not scratchy),Rice cooker,Apple corer,Vegetable peeler,Oven mitts,Pot holders,coasters,Pearls,Health kits-BP monitor,Diabetic monitor etc,Hotwater bottle for sleep,stainless steel flasks,Handbags,purses,bottle opener,can opener,visions glass vessals(can be used in microwave and stove top) etc
