Default Dust in India

Hello,

Why is it so much more "dusty" in India compared to countries like the UK, Australia, USA, etc...? Is it due to a lack of trees/shrubbery/grass to hold the dust in place? Is it due to less pavement? Is it because the climate is warmer? Why is there so much more dust in India that gets on things requiring much more cleaning than the countries above?

Thank you.

Guru

Definitely due to cutting down of trees in the name of urbanization. Also, hot climate could be the reason but lack of trees being no.1.
In US dust is reduced in houses because the doors always remain closed. There are air tight glass windows to save energy during extreme cold season and so that also reduces dust in the house. When I keep my windows open during spring and summer I have observed how dust collects so quickly on TV,tables etc just like in India though not that much because my house here is surrounded by trees.

Also, pollution from cars, buses using low quality gasoline is another reason.

We should cultivate dust management programs to avoid dust...dust is due to cutting of trees and because of heavyly polluted traffices on the roads..
the reasons may be because of some constructions, climatic conditions...
we shouldn't cry just about India.....you have only seen USA,Europe and US, Have you ever tried out either Kuwait, Saudi , UAE????? Its a whole lotta dust there, way more!!!! But the amount in India has considerably increased in the past 3 yrs drastically, reasons...........mainly Pollution.

Climatic conditions combined with pollution and cutting of trees result in dust. But after coming to UAE I don't feel our country full of dust, we often wonder from where this much dust comes inside fully closed air conditioned rooms. There can never be a comparison with desert then also its different according to topography and climatic conditions
