| | Ashrams How is life in an ashram in India? Has anyone visited ashrams and what has been the experience?
Would you recommend any ashram for a visit and/or short pleasant stay that rejuvenates your soul?
I would like to personally make periodical visits to ashrams and benefit from their spiritual ambiance. Hence this request.
By the way it would be a great idea to give details of any experience with some great Mahatma if you have had His/Her Dharshan.
Thank you

Hi,
i have visited quite a few number of ashrams.
Ashram life is different.
you will follow a schedule from wakeup time to sleep time.
they will have prayer time; breakfast time; dhyan time;pooja time etc.,
people will not compell you to do anything. it is all your own wish. you will have enough time for yourself. you can think about you; you can live in a peaceful past ; few ashram will have teaching session about any of our scripture which may not be able to follow in first but you can follow when you hear it repeatedly.. there are lot of ashram at present few need to be booked earlier.
try to take soem good books/ few ashram will ave their own library you can spend. do meditation in their temple... attend bhajan/prayers.. you will be able to find new faces and new kind of persons who can help you to improve your knowledge on spritual topics.
i can adive people. who are in this mechanical life should take some time to stayin ashrams and get the energy of silence...
