| | A ship that never drowns.... FRIENDSHIP
Hi everybody,
We would have had so many friends right from our childhood. Many of them we have lost contact.
In this thread let us talk about our friends, old ones with whom we do not have any contact now, but whose memories kindle our happiness.
May be the one you befriended on your first day in school/college, or the one you befriended while travelling, or a neighbour in a new place.
Whoever they are, a friend is a friend irrespective of how long the friendship lasted.
Looking forward to your messages . Let us live the old days

Thanks for starting this thread. i have always wanted to write about my friends. My first closest friendship was in school and their names are Lavanya and Keerthana. I had to move to another school and there I developed friendship with two other girls by the name of Raji and Padma Priya. We were inseperable and to this day I fervently wish to see them.
Lastly, my dearest friends, Jayshree, Sakina and Jumana in college. We had the best last two years of college life. I still think about the daily doses of cone icecream costing Rs.2 each. Driving out in the lunch hours to celebrate birthdays. meeting out of college for movies or going to the beach. Jai was the class topper. She had scored the highest mark in 12th but was denied medical by her parents because they feared they couldn't get a boy with as high an education as her afterwards. She is so sweet that she din't hold any bad thoughts regarding that. Saku and Jumana, two Gujarathi muslims girls who were treats to be with everyday. Saku's mom made the best Dal Makhni and she used to give her entire box to me and take my rasam. She adored my rasam and we used to get it exclusively for each other. The best thing was these two girls were engaged at 15 years and were waiting to finish their education to get married. Both were so shy about their fiance's and would blush just to talk about them.
All four of us are in different parts and my heart aches just thinking about them. I pray to god everyday for me to meet them at least once before I die. Thank you for giving this oppurtunity to write about my friends.

Thank you. I think when in hostels the friendship we have is completely different from the one we have at home. You spend more time with friends, understand them better and freak out. I was in hostel during my college days. It was one of the most wonderful period in my life. It taught me how to make friends.
I wanted to start this thread, so that who knows may be one of us will stumble upon our old friends.
I was put in a big school in my 5th std. Every student there spoke in english all the time. Though I could understand and speak a little bit, my grammar was the poorest. So I never used to talk and nobody talked to me either.
There was one girl whom I can never forget all my life. Sujatha Alappat. She voluntarily started speaking to me, and was so friendly, that I opened up and I am thankful to her for her nice gesture. Speaking to her made my english better. She left the school the same year, and we lost contact.
But even today the word friendship brings to my mind Suja, Thank you Suja, let me tell you one thing. YOU MEAN A L........O...........T to me.
