That is really a thought provoking quote.

The first one is really difficult ......who will have the patience or a forgiving attitude to give an enemy a thousand chances to reform and become one's friend??

The second one is easier ....to retain and safeguard the friendship of a sincere friend.If we take care that nothing snaps the bond of friendship then that is much easier I guess.!

The first part is for saints only ...anyway not for ordinary folks

thanks for ur quick response, i totally agree with you, it might not work in today's world, and you know what this was sent to me by may dad for friendship day and he is one of the kind(Saint) and he still believes this will work...
my dad truly believes that when u keep on showing ur love to the other person, they will not have a choice and will in turn start loving you without knowing..... he does that and i see a person in today's world actually doing that although this may be one in a million!!!!!
