Karnataka, BJP and Hogenakal comes alive now

Dear TN members,

Now remember it was Yeddyurappa of BJP who spear-headed the Hogenakal only for Karnataka movement and started the inter-state violent dispute recently.
He is now going to be the new CM on friday..the hopes of a peaceful/ amicable desision and one favouring TN are fading fast with this new development.

TN CM Karunanidhi had postponed all the TN Govt's initiatives on the work on the water supply to the suffering villagers of Dharmapuri district till a new Govt in KA was established...

His calculations of the ally Cong coming to power and to rescue of TN are now shattered..

Now will it be back to Karnataka/TN bandhs, No buses to KA from TN, stoning each other's vehicles, banning Tamil/ kannada movies and TV channels just waiting to happen?

All over again?

Kumar,
I personally feel this is a v sensitive topic to start.
The way u have mentioned so openly "one favouring TN" there will be people who would want a decision favoring the other state.It is but natural.
There will be many angles involved and u will be knowing how precious water is that too for the farmers.The way u would want TN state to have gud drinking water and farm water it will the same for the other state also.

My intention is not to start any regional discussion here at all.
I only want u to understand that IL is a huge community wherein people from all regions participate openly and pls dont try to spoil that sentiment here.

This is a DISCUSSION FORUM and I am doing exactly that...All topics of social , political and entertainment interest are permitted...I have taken up a very relevant and people-centric burning topic for the people of Tamil nadu in Tamil nadu forum..
I do not know what you are objecting to....

I am from Karnataka and living in TN and facing these ticklish linguistic and regional issues personally when we cannot visit our parents back in B'lore when disputes are up between these two states...

We have enough monitoring , censoring and frowning upon our freedom by moderators to express already without you sounding off about some unclear offence in my post about what has actually happened in Karnataka...i.e, the elections and the BJP...

You are absolutely correct. We both sail in the same boat. I am also from karnataka and married to Chennai. I have also faced the same situation . Hope now the problem has subsided.
