Default Mahavir Jayanti

Hi Ilites,

I am starting this thread regarding the "Mahavir Jayanti".
In
Jainism, Mahavir Jayanti is the most important religious holiday. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the last Tirthankara. He was born on the 13th day of the rising moon of Chaitra,

Is it strictly meant for the Jain peoples?I have heard from many Hindu Ladies that they also do perform the Mahavir Jayanti rituals and customs.I like the Vani's of Mahavir ,just I do for Gautam Buddha too.

I am interested in their religious preachings..

How do you celebrate the Mahavir Jayanti,if obcourse if somebody does go through the rituals and customs as I am not aware of the rituals also.If somebody can share the rituals also, that would be great for me.

Sudarshana
