Thanks for this information. My younger daughter is also named as Akshaya.

It has really worked with me, that once i bought a saree on this day not knowing it was AT but that year i was flooded with sarees. So I graduated to buying gold now my dh himself has got interested in buying this yellow metal (before he was just against us buying the same)

You are most welcome. Great to hear that you have named your little one as akshaya...Very true . We tend to keep buying whatever we buy on that auspicious day.

If you are planning to get gold this year too and if its a known shop, go to the shop few days before, select the pattern and ask them to keep it aside so that you can avoid the rush and just pay and take the jewel on the 8th....my humble suggestion.
