 India before 170 years (It is true) Hi all, can u beleive that India was like before 170 years.. it was gr8 to find out this old lr written to British govt... what do u all say..!!

| Re: India before 170 years (It is true) this letter is such an eye opener....what a calculated cunning scheme to take over a country, and how we fell easy prey to their vile scheme because of our fascination for all things "foreign"... though we have all heard of the atrocities of the british empire and their divide and rule schemes,the content of this letter was really shocking and saddening to me... how they have plotted and dealt blows to the very roots of our culture... we all know the country as we see it today....to think that such a glorious land as ours has been reduced to this state,battling over innumerable problems....left at the mercy of selfish,uneducated politicians...sad.... India was 'Shining'...who is responsible for taking the lustre off...? and what is to be done now,to bring it back,to make India really 'Shining'... rgds, sowpar |

| Re: India before 170 years (It is true) hi, Very true, not only do we start our Education in English, but, also continue our career in the "Anniya" language in more americanized way in BPO centers, medical transcription centers, IT companies, etc

| Re: India before 170 years (It is true) English has becomes essential today. I have found toddlers learning English faster than their mother tongue. I had a mallu friend who would speak english with an ascent and to top it she started speaking in Hindi too with an ascent. Most of the families speak in English even at home, it has become important today to keep speaking in English. The reason behind it is to be called MODERN AND TRENDY..
