Hand Sanitizers, Good or Bad?

Dear Friends,

Few days back it was wet tissues / wet ones and now we are in the process of using the hand sanitizers while we travel and i guess this would be a part of our handbags.


To properly sanitize, the hands soap and water should be used. A hand sanitizer cannot and should not take the place of proper cleansing procedures with soap and water, this we all know.


Hand sanitizers to be used in the place of soap and water only if the latter is not available and only as an adjunct.

Kindly share your opinions and suggestions please....

I think it should be ok to use hand sanitizer...
but before eating food, I make sure myself and kids washes hands and later eat.

Thanks for your comments. Its always good to wash the hands before eating and all of us prefer to do the same. At times we are not in a position / place to wash our hands. In that case would hand sanitizer be of help to us?

Definetly it will be useful... it feels like washed hands... but to our satisfaction, we wash hands before eating.

true,hand sanitizers are only a substitute when soap & water are not available...i dont think anybody would use it at home on a regular basis...i have a small bottle in my hand bag just in case i need it when am out somewhere...
