Default Water Water Everywhere

Again arson and looting and bus burnings in State borders! As usual water again!
Talk of linking all rivers .Getting tired and irksome and angry! South India is surrounded by sea water on three sides. Why desalination of sea water for consumption on large scale has not borne fruit so far? Does anyone has an answer?

hi
I am told that in midddle east countries where there there is only oil in the ground instead of water, desalination plants are used extensively and on a large scale to manufactue potable water. Cost also is not much I believe.

It is not that our engineers are not in the know of things. In fact once in a while we also hear that drinking water is also produced on a small scale by the Government. But I have not seen any machinery near the sea coast of Chennai.

I think nobody will object if we draw water from Bay Of Bengal for desalination.
Cannot the Filmdom take up the initiative?

Hi Lakshmi,

I know the answer.. The will is not there for our elected political representative morans.. Every Govt official, legislative member, minister works in his best interest and NEVER think about resolving any public interest. They just don't care how people suffer and our uneducated poverty stricken mass vote for free TVs than for clean water, rad, atmosphere and peaceful life. As long as people's priorty is towards TV serials, cinema and other cheap entertainment without worrying about the a decent livelihood, our political leaders are also going to utilize them to the maximum.

I am yet to see one visionary among our Indian leaders. Also, I can't believe that people unite to destruct things but not to construct... Why can't the same gunda group work for the betterment of the society and demand clean water, better roads and less poverty... I guess as all our spiritual leaders repeated indicate that it is kaliyugam and hence only the rakshasas will be ruling and be happy by destroying all the good people.

Basically I found Indian youth is lazy with low self esteem, less moral values, absolutely no civic sense, taking advantage of others all the time, and finally expecting freebie all the time to lead a very comfortable life. Obviously, they can't elect good leaders to do anything good for the society.

My everyday prayer is to keep India better and peaceful.

Regards,
GPriya

Hi Priya,

I absolutely go with you in this issue..........

We indians do not follow rules and regulations here and are always lethargic and self centered.............but I really dont understand how Indians who settle in foriegn countries follow rules strictly................

Here the person who formulates rules himself breaks it, so where is the chance for India to grow?

Only a small population live truthfully and honestly, while the major population calls them MAD.............
