voter idendity card

My daughter-in-law when she relocated from Bangalore to Chennai got her new voter identity card. Unfortunately, the address was wrongly entered. We got it corrected in the electoral list. How to get it corrected in the voter identity card? Have I to get a new one or can I vote with the same identity card? She is finding it difficult to use it as an identity card because of the wrong address. My attempts to elicit the response from the corporation office is not bearing any fruit. Any suggestions?

Check with the concerned office at tambaram. You get to know the list, and other details...it is on the main road itself...I don't have the exact address of the office. I think they maybe the better people to guide you..

i recently applied for voter's identity card online, when they announced it for Chennai and others. now the date of submission for application of new voter's identity card is over.

i am giving you the link to the website of electoral office. you may find telephone numbers of the concerned electoral officers and the site itself is self explanatory.

i spoke to the officers concerned over phone for some of my doubts verification. they are polite and were kind enough to guide me. check with this site -
